Welcome to the

This was The Bell Inn on June 9th when musicians and dancers descended on the small village pub.
It was all part of the Cricklade Town Festival.

The ladies (Cathy Woodward, Diane Williams, Dee Rumble, Marg Powell, Jill Stanley and Doreen Roberts) of "Off The Rails" gave us some Appalachian dancing. Ted Poole from the Swindon Folksingers gave us his version of the classic tale "I just walked on and never said a word." Then the musicians began their "jam" session. Debbie Wolfson of "Music Alive", a local charity based at Bentham House, was there on violin, Julian Deason-Barrow on guitar, Tony Rathbone on soprano sax and tin whistle, with others joining in on banjo, harmonica, accordion, trumpet and tambourine. There was country music of course but for me the highlight of the evening was a heart stopping rendition of "Canon in D"
